Robbie Amell is smoldering in this new feature for August Man Malaysia‘s June 2013 issue.

The 25-year-old Tomorrow People actor opened up to the glossy about what he does in his free time, what kinds of movies he likes, and how he started acting. Check it:

On his hobbies: “I’m obsessed with cars and love sports (especially hockey). I have a beautiful girlfriend of five years and we have two small dogs… very small. I am very close with my family, and I play a LOT of golf.”

On his favorite films: “I’m a fan of all types of movies, all different genres. I guess I prefer darker and R-rated comedies to slapstick or goofy comedies. Somebody like Robert Downey, Jr. is hilarious, but you don’t feel like he’s trying to be funny.”

On how and when he started acting: “I grew up playing hockey in Toronto until I was 17. My mom got me into commercials and print work when I was young, but hockey took up so much time that I hadn’t been to an audition in three years. My agent called me with my first ever movie audition for Cheaper by the Dozen 2. I booked it, quit hockey, and became an actor.
